Near Laramie Peak, WY. (Horseshoe Creek). During the second day of our
hike, I saw one single bloom of this flower. I was much too tired to stop and retrieve
by camera from the top of my pack, and walked on by. I regretted that decision all night.
Two days later we found stands and stands of this beautiful flower. It only grew on the
south side of the river, never once did we find a single bloom on the north side. I
believe it to be a Tiger Lilly, but they were small compared to domestic versions.
