These birds are also known as "camp robbers". They are very
bold and quickly accept humans into their environment. While pitching
our tent last October we had a pair of them fly up to us, landing in a little
tree not more than 18 inches away from us. They were used to the hunters
in the area leaving tidbits of food, and were expecting handouts from us.
I couldn't get my camera out in time, or I could have had some GREAT
pictures. . .instead I have only this one to offer from a different trip.
